Getting to DMU Leicester City Campus by Car
From M1 and M69 South
Leave M1 at Junction 21. Follow the A5460 (was a46)
to Leicester City Centre (4 miles).
Go straight through several sets of traffic lights. After passing under a
railway bridge move into the right-hand lane (marked City Centre) and
turn right into Upperton Road at the next major traffic lights. Turn
left immediately before crossing the canal into Western Boulevard and turn
first right into Mill Lane.
De Montfort University buildings are situated
on both sides of Mill Lane in the surrounding area (see map).
From M1 North
Leave M1 at Junction 22, follow A50 to Leicester (8 miles) straight on at five
roundabouts. At first major set of traffic lights go straight across
Woodgate. Follow A50 straight on to the next traffic lights into Northgate.
At second major junction turn right into Vaughan Way (A46). Keep in
right-hand lane through underpass.
After 200 metres, follow road to left into Newarke Street and keeping in the
right-hand lane, turn right into Welford Rd (A50). At first set of traffic
lights turn into Carlton Street and almost immediately right again into Oxford
St. Moving into the left-hand lane, take next left into Bonners Lane,
continuing into Mill Lane.
