| Description |
The aim of the project is to design an intelligent system which
will be able to answer questions and also provide numerical
answers for models described by a system of linear algebraic
equations. The student has to: be familiar with the theory of linear
equations; create a formal ontology of such a theory, code this
theory using a knowledge representation language; and design an
intelligent agent which will be able to answer queries using this
knowledge base. Numerical calculations can be done with one of
the widely available linear algebra routines. The scope of the
project can be adapted depending on the available time, student's
experience, and available software packages in the School of
Computing.
