EMTERC’s goal is to be internationally acknowledged as a centre of expertise in microelectronics and its applications through the creation and exploitation of knowledge in materials, devices, circuits, reliability, electromagnetics and signal processing

Our achievements have ranged:

• from developing a novel noise model for GaN devices to developing plastic to remember electronic information
• from developing efficient algorithms for rate-distortion optimized media streaming to physical models of structured cabling communications channels and
• from developing a unique infrared microscopy facility to developing an augmented reality suite.
