Why did you apply for the MSc CIR/ISR?
An interest in noveau AI, Technology and particlarly Gaming AI. The Website and Course content looked very fresh and good!

What did you do before? (i.e. what degree? training? jobs? Where did you live?)
Bsc. Management and Information Systems at Royal Holloway, University of London, Egham (Surrey). I had two Jobs as a Games Tester: for Microsoft (XBOX) and Electronic Arts. Wanted to take my Passion for Games and the related Technology further.

What were the best things about the course for you, what did you get out of it?
Learned lots about interesting and new CI techniques (ANNs, Fuzzy Logic, GAs). Published a Conference Paper on behalf of the IOCT (who sponsored me), attented the conference (UKCI2007). Learned academic research skills (IEEE papers etc.).

What do you plan to do next (or what are you doing if you've already finished).?
Not sure, but probably academic research on a Game-AI related subject using CI techniques.

What advice would you give them before they start?
Be willing to experiment with the CI techniques learned in your own mini-projects - it's the best way to learn and be creative. Make sure you have a good grasp of at least one Programming language (C++ is industry standard and probably most relevant to professional development) so you can code your own projects.
